Altiwerk

FAQ

The questions that come up before and just after buying. If yours is not here, ask — a question asked twice usually becomes a page.

Does Altiwerk see our business data?

No. FSA calls go straight from your browser to your FSA cluster, and S/4 calls go to an engine running on your own BTP. Neither path crosses our infrastructure. What does reach us is licensing metadata, and the security page lists it in full rather than summarising it.

Where is the extension hosted?

The extension itself is hosted by us and loaded into your FSA Shell, the same install model SAP uses for any third-party extension. The connectivity engine is different: you deploy that one yourself, into your own SAP BTP subaccount, with your own S/4 credentials.

Does it work on FSA mobile?

Yes. 5 products run inside the FSA mobile Web Container and install on the device as an app, and screens you publish yourself can target mobile too.

What do we need on the SAP side?

An FSA tenant where you have admin access to Extensions. Anything reading live S/4 data additionally needs an S/4 system exposing the relevant OData services — V2 or V4 — reachable from your engine through SAP Cloud Connector or a Communication Arrangement.

Which S/4 release do we need?

There is no version floor. If your system exposes the OData service and your engine can reach it, the connector reads it — cloud or on-premise. The question is about the service, not the release.

Can one licence cover several FSA tenants?

No — each licence is bound to a single account id, so it is one per tenant. Additional tenants in the same contract are discounted.

Can we try it first?

Yes — a 14-day licence bound to your own tenant, on whatever combination you want to evaluate. No credit card, and nothing auto-renews. Request one.

What happens at the end of our contract?

The licence stops validating and the app shows a renewal message. Screens and records you created stay in your FSA tenant as your own data — they were never held by us, so there is no export to request and nothing to migrate off.

How do updates work?

There is no upgrade step. We deploy, and the next load inside the Shell runs the current version — so every tenant is current. The changelog is the record.

Do we have to use the AI features?

No. They are off by default and need both a switch and a key before anything is called. Every product and screen type works identically with AI disabled — see the AI page.

How do we contact support?

Email us — see contact. Include your FSA account id and, if you have it, your licence id.
