Warranty Checker
The question a technician asks before touching anything: is this covered? Give it an equipment and a date and it answers Covered, Billable, or — when the data genuinely does not decide — Not decidable, with the evidence for the verdict shown underneath.

Is this repair covered? Equipment and a date give a verdict before the work starts.
- Three read-only sources at once: S/4 equipment warranty, S/4 service-contract items, and FSA service contracts.
- A verdict, not a data dump — covered, billable, or honestly not decidable.
- Bridges FSA to S/4 by serial number, so the technician needs no S/4 identifier.
- Picks the equipment up automatically from the record tab it is opened in.
- Inclusive date ends and the contract link-window rule, so edge dates are right.
How it installs
One permanent link, pasted into Foundational Services → Extensions. Nothing is minted per customer — your licence is the whole gate.
https://studio.altiwerk.com/ext/warranty/appconfig.jsonOn mobile it runs in the FSA Web Container, and can be pinned so the technician sees only this one. How mobile works
Updates reach every tenant on the next load — there is no upgrade step to schedule.
What you need
- ·An FSA tenant where you have admin access to Extensions.
- ·One install link, pasted once. No deployment on your side.
- ·The connectivity engine, deployed on your own SAP BTP subaccount.
- ·An S/4 system exposing the relevant OData services — V2 or V4 — reachable from that engine via SAP Cloud Connector or a Communication Arrangement.
- ·Warranty and service-contract data maintained in S/4, and optionally service contracts in FSA — it reads whichever of the three you have.
Questions people actually ask
It says Not decidable, and shows you what it did and did not find. A confident wrong answer costs far more than an honest 'check this one' — a billing dispute is worse than a phone call.
No. It bridges from FSA to S/4 by serial number, so the technician works with the record already in front of them.
As its own tab, or embedded on an activity or equipment page — where it picks up that record automatically and checks it without anyone typing anything.
Date ends are treated as inclusive, and the contract link-window rule is applied, so a job on the last covered day reads as covered.
